1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you ("the Customer", "you") and A&R EXPRESS LTD ("we", "us", or "our"), concerning your access to and use of https://www.anrxpress.com, as well as any booking or engagement for courier, freight, and logistics services arranged through us.
2. Quotations and Service Contracts
Quotations provided online via our quotation form or over telephone and email are based upon the consignment details (weights, package counts, dimensions, collection, and delivery postcodes) supplied by the customer.
- Quotations remain indicative until accepted and confirmed by our operations team.
- If the physical consignment upon collection diverges substantially in weight, volume, or handling requirements from the declared parameters, we reserve the right to adjust charges accordingly or decline carriage if capacity does not permit.
- No contract is formed until we confirm the booking in writing or dispatch a collection driver.
3. Customer Packaging Obligations
The customer is strictly responsible for ensuring that all items tendered for transit are packed, cushioned, and labeled to withstand the ordinary risks of transport, loading, and handling:
- Fragile items must be protected internally with appropriate impact-absorbing packaging.
- Boxes must be securely taped with heavy-duty packaging tape on all flaps.
- Accurate and legible delivery address labels, contact telephone numbers, and recipient details must be visibly displayed on the consignment exterior.
4. Prohibited & Restricted Goods
We do not transport hazardous materials, illegal substances, contraband, explosive or flammable materials, pressurized gas containers, firearms, or perishable items unless explicitly agreed upon in advance under a specialized commercial carriage contract. The sender warrants that their consignment complies with all applicable UK and international transportation laws.
5. Collections & Deliveries
While we make every reasonable effort to collect and deliver according to agreed schedules, stated transit times are target estimates unless booked under a dedicated priority same-day arrangement.
- The customer must ensure safe, clear vehicular access to collection and delivery premises.
- If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect recipient address details, lack of recipient availability, or refused acceptance, the consignment may be held at our Paisley depot or returned to the sender at the customer's cost.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for loss or damage to consignments is governed strictly by the agreed terms of carriage and statutory carriage regulations. We shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, consequential, or economic loss (including loss of profits, business opportunities, or goodwill);
- Loss or damage arising from inadequate packaging or undeclared fragile items;
- Delays caused by force majeure events, severe weather conditions, road closures, customs inspections, or civil disruption beyond our reasonable operational control.
7. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos (specifically including the official A&R EXPRESS LTD trademark), stylesheets, and scripts, is the property of A&R EXPRESS LTD and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction or scraping is prohibited.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or our logistics services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scots law. The courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute.
